Trina Braxton Talks About Working with Family and Following Her Own Path

Says she has to do "what's best for Trina."

herTrina Braxton recently sat down with Madame Noire to talk about working with her family for their reality TV show, Braxton Family Values, and blocking out the public's opinion when it comes to her relationship. The so-called "party girl" and mother of two says working with the Braxton clan has its upsides and its detriments.

"We are not a bunch of cast mates that were put together," Braxton says about working with her mother and sisters. "We know each other's strengths, we know each other's weaknesses, we know how to love each other, we know how to build each other up, and we know how to push each other's buttons. So I think being able to work with my family has been both a blessing and a curse."

She and husband
Gabe Solis are legally separated and she says that putting her life on camera opens her up for criticisms and humiliation, but that she refuses to let those comments keep her from doing what's best for her.

"At the end of the day you can have all these people with all these different opinions ... you should do this or you should that or the other," she says. "If I'm stuck living with somebody else's opinion and what they think I should do, I'm going to be unhappy. So I have to do what's best for Trina, the way Trina should live her life."
