Jennifer Hudson's Son Makes Acting Debut in Black Nativity
Jennifer Hudson's son has been bit by the acting bug.
The singer and actress will soon share the screen with her 3-year-old son David Otunga Jr. in her upcoming film Black Nativity. The film is a retelling of the nativity story with an all-Black cast.
"He put himself in the film as one of the extras," J-Hud tells USA Today. "He's a little industry baby. He sits in the director's chair and puts on the headphones."
Fans are excited that Hudson will sing in the film, her first time using her pipes on the big screen since her 2006 debut in Dreamgirls. Black Nativity also stars Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker, who play Hudson's parents in the film. "I love them so much," she says of her co-stars. "I looked up to them as a kid. Now they're my mom and dad...it's too much."
There's no doubt Hudson has gotten her groove back after suffering unspeakable tragedy with the death of her mother, brother and nephew. Clearly, the diva is back in full-swing!
