Halle Berry Reveals a Detailed List of Injuries She's Endured Throughout Her Film Career
Halle Berry is no stranger to on-set injuries.
In a recent chat with her Union co-star Mark Wahlberg, the Hollywood veterans delved into their latest Netflix project and swapped tales of the bruises and bumps they’ve racked up on action-packed film sets.
Berry shared some jaw-dropping stories, detailing how she sustained a fractured arm and five ribs—three during the 2019 action film John Wick: Chapter 3 and two while shooting her 2021 directorial debut Bruised—her tailbone, two toes, and even one of her middle fingers.
The Academy Award winner also revealed that her filmmaking journey has led her to master an array of combat sports, from Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai to kickboxing, taekwondo, and capoeira, which she learned for her role in the 2004 film Catwoman.
Fans can catch both stars in the upcoming film The Union, where Wahlberg plays Mike, a down-to-earth construction worker who is “thrust into the world of super spies and secret agents” when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne, played by Berry, “recruits him on a high-stakes US intelligence mission.”
The movie starts streaming Friday, Aug. 16.
