Joe Budden Sued for Lewd Behavior and Retaliation Following Nude Hallway Incident
The ongoing tension between Joe Budden and his neighbors just hit a new level.
The rapper-turned-podcaster’s fellow residents in the New Jersey condo building, John and Yuliya Aksoy, are suing him following a bizarre December incident that’s still trending months later.
The Aksoys allege Budden tried to enter their home while completely nude — a moment caught on their Ring camera and later leaked online. Though the “Pump It Up” hitmaker was cleared of any criminal charges, including lewdness and stalking, the Aksoys aren’t letting it go.
According to a lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the couple accuses Budden, his “Joe Budden Podcast” co-host and former video vixen Melyssa Ford, and the condo association of launching a “campaign of intimidation and retribution” after they voiced complaints about loud podcast recordings and weed smoke filling the building’s shared spaces — conditions they say put their young daughter at risk.
Things apparently escalated further when Budden allegedly accused Yuliya of using racist language toward him. While the media figure has said he possesses audio evidence, the lawsuit states he has yet to release it.
The suit also includes screenshots from the Aksoys’ doorbell cam, showing the 44-year-old standing fully nude in the hallway. The couple even claimed Budden was masturbating outside their door — an allegation he firmly denies.
A judge sided with him, saying, “Mr. Budden was not erect. He was not masturbating. The one time that he touched his penis, he appeared to be trying to cover himself.”
The former rapper, who said he was “sleepwalking” during the incident, addressed the ordeal on his podcast in January: “I just sleptwalked somewhere I shouldn’t have. You know how I sleep — butt-naked… Nobody else could go through this stuff but me.”
Budden’s attorney Nima Ameri, has since called the lawsuit “a money grab attempt by a person we believe to be a racist.”
