Blast From The Past: Former 'L&HH' Star Benzino Possibly Facing Up To 15 Years In Prison
Benzino, known mostly for his stint on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, is currently involved in a legal battle that could change his life, forever, as he could possibly spend up to 15 years behind bars.
According to TMZ, the ex-reality star was arrested back in January 2017 in connection to charges of felony possession of THC oil gummies (22 grams), felony possession of six MDMA pills and misdemeanor possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.
Legal documents obtained by TMZ stated that police executed a search warrant at Benzino's Atlanta apartment and found drugs stashed away in drawers and on the kitchen counters. As a result of this, he was arrested and eventually posted $12,000 bail.
Though the music producer's team claimed the search warrant was illegal, a judge ruled that the police had proper jurisdiction to carry on with the search.
Today, several months following these findings, Benzino's legal team will reportedly learn in court when his will head to trial. The site specifies that it could be as soon as next month if he does not cop a plea.
Worst case scenario, if he is convicted of the charges, Benzino could face up to 15 years in prison.
