Moschino Is Selling A Dry Cleaner Bag 'Dress' For $735
Yes, you read correctly! The creative director of Moschino, Jeremy Scott, has an all-trashed themed fall/winter 2017 collection, and dry cleaner plastic bag dresses are apparently a huge part of his vision.
The Italian fashion brand used clear polyester to imitate the plastic bags that cover your freshly cleaned dresses and suits after you pick them up from the dry cleaners. The unusual dresses even feature "Free pickup and delivery" stamps and a white triangle hanger topper that say, "We [heart] our customers."
So far, Browns, an online fashion retailer, is the only retailer that has the dress for sale, although it is currently out of stock. The $735 literal piece of material is being marked as an "economical" "cape sheer overlay dress." Browns was sure to mention that the dress is completely see through and that the black slip photographed underneath is not included with your purchase.
"This clear Moschino dry cleaning cape overlay dress is the only one-of-a-kind laundry you'd be willing to do," Browns mentioned. But the price of this "dress" comes as no surprise, since more and more, brands are utilizing everyday items that essentially cost nothing for inspo and selling a "fashion" version for thousands. Remember the Balenciaga "Ikea" bag that retailed for $2,100?
However, we know that our girls Ashanti and Toya Wright are huge fans of the Moschino brand and have been seen wearing the over-the-top and somewhat unpredictable fashions, as you may recall Ashanti in the fresh couture fragrance dress.
Do you think they'll try this daring look?
