UPDATE (6/1/17, 10:30 a.m.): According to reports from TMZ, Atlanta rapper Rich Homie Quan, real name Dequantes Devontay Lamar, could potentially face up to 30 years in prison following a drug possession charge stemming from his arrest on Saturday (May 27).

Though gun charges from the same arrest have been dropped, the site now reports that his arrest report shows felony possession of drugs with intent to distribute. Additionally, law enforcement reportedly said that the drug found in his possession was marijuana, but the amount he carried was not made available. He is currently being held until a Friday (June 2) hearing and TMZ further updated that his bond has been set at $20,000.

Rich Homie Quan was reportedly arrested on his way to a show in his home state of Georgia on Saturday (May 27).

TMZ is reporting that the car the Atlanta rapper was in was stopped at a police checkpoint and he was arrested along with five other men because they were suspected of possessing a stolen firearm and drugs – allegedly marijuana and ecstasy.

Quan and his friends were detained in Jefferson County Jail where he is still currently being held. Georgia law allows police to hold a person for 48 hours without charging them.
