Trump Forces Sessions To Resign, And Twitter Can’t Decide If We Should Celebrate Or Just Got F****d

"Firing Jeff Sessions triggers a constitutional crisis...But also, f—k Jeff Sessions."

One day after the midterm elections, President Donald Trump requested Attorney General Jeff Sessions resign, which is the White House’s version of saying Sessions was given a pink slip.

"At your request I am submitting my resignation," Sessions wrote in a letter to White House chief of staff John Kelly, according to CNN.

Since the minute Sessions was confirmed as attorney general, everyone has called him out for his past racism. Now that Sessions is gone, Twitter had a field day roasting the hell out of him and the administration.

However, the celebrations quickly came to a halt when people realized Sessions' acting replacement is Matt Whitaker, who will probably take charge of the Russia investigation and special counsel Robert Mueller.

This would not be a huge deal if Whitaker had not, in the past, openly criticized Mueller and the investigation.

Although Sessions was certainly no angel, his firing looks like an attempt for the president to obstruct the Russia investigation.

During his time in office, Sessions worked behind the scenes to sneakily roll back Obama-era policies on immigration, police reform and civil rights.

While the end of Sessions' tenure brings great joy, hopefully it does not come at too high a cost.
