No Mercy: Former Shield Actor Who Murdered His Wife Just Got the Verdict

The jury made a decision.

A verdict has been reached in the case against former Shield actor Michael Jace. According to the Hollywood Reporter, via AP, a jury convicted the actor of second degree murder in the shooting death of his wife, April.

The verdict was read today, after a weeklong trial. While Jace's attorneys ackowledged during the trial that he did kill his wife, they argued he should instead be convicted of voluntary manslaughter since it was not a premeditated act.

The jurors went in favor of the prosecutor who rebutted Jace's lawyers, saying the actor was already upset because his wife wanted a divorce, resulting in him shooting her in the back before taunting her and shooting her again in the leg.

As reported last week, the actor disturbingly told detectives his intent was not to kill his wife, but rather to just wound her.
