March Madness: Find Out Which Teams Made the NCAA Bracket
The 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament was finalized on Sunday, and the field is made up of programs that classically dominate this college basketball world, with Kansas, North Carolina, Oregon, and UVA filling out the four number one seeds, and MSU, Nova, Xavier, and Oklahoma claiming the second seeds.
This year, the bracket was leaked on Twitter right in the middle of the NCAA's tournament selection show on CBS. "We go through great lengths to prevent the tournament field from being revealed early, and the NCAA took its usual measures to protect this from happening," the NCAA said in a statement. "Unfortunately and regrettably, the bracket was revealed prior to our broadcast partners' having the opportunity to finish unveiling it. We take this matter seriously, and we are looking into it."
Fans will be able to watch the best players in the county square off, and with athletes like Buddy Hield, and Denzel Valentine, who are the two frontrunners for the Wooden Award, and standout sophomore Tyler Ulis, it will surely be an electric tournament.
The tournament is filled with Cinderella teams as well. Maryland, who may have this season’s most talented starting five, Cal who has been showing promise in the Pac-10, and Michigan whose slew of sharpshooters who can get hot at any time, could make a deep run that surprises everyone but their program’s fan base.
This year’s tournament is bound to bring either elation or agony — maybe both — for all teams involved as we watch these young athletes battle it out to claim their part of college basketball history.
