Report: Chief Keef Wants to Move to LA

Rapper is ready to leave Chiraq for the Golden State.

Chief Keef is out of rehab and contemplating a move to California.

According to TMZ, a lawyer for the legally-embattled Chiraq rapper revealed that he is considering taking up residence out West. Chief recently went home to visit his daughter after completing his court-ordered treatment at an Orange County facility, but he would rather live in Los Angeles, where he can focus on his music.

In an recent interview with Billboard, Keef hinted that staying away from his addiction triggers is instrumental to his musical success. "My last two mixtapes were mistakes. I was on promethazine, all drugged out. I was tweaking," he said. "I don't sip the lean no more, though."

Keef was handed a mandated three-month stay in the OC after he failed a drug test while on probation for a speeding ticket. According to XXL, he refused visitors while at the treatment facility, but was allowed to leave to work on his upcoming album, Bang 3, scheduled to release March 3, ironically led by the single "F--k Rehab."

Meanwhile, he is due back in a Chicago courtroom for a progress check-in on Feb. 28.
