Halle Berry Makes Fans Wear ‘Bad Wigs Only’ at Screening for Her Latest Film

The actress showed up with her infamous curly wig from ‘The Call.’

Halle Berry recently hosted an exclusive screening of her new horror film “Never Let Go” for her biggest fans, with one fun requirement — everyone had to show up wearing a bad wig.

“CELEBRATE HALLE BERRY & HER DISTRESSED WIGS THIS TUESDAY, 9/17!” the invitation read. “Halle Berry brings us another movie with kids she's trying to keep alive and wigs she's distressing to death in ‘NEVER LET GO.’ We're calling Halle's super fans to join us in celebrating her new movie by attending a special fan in New York and Atlanta screening in your best distressed wigs. Wear a bob. Wear 50-inch Brazilian. Bring a pussycat wig. Bring any wig as long as its DISTRESSED.”

The Oscar winner gave her followers a sneak peek of the event in NYC, which she showed up to, by sharing a video from the screening on her Instagram page. “My fans SHOWED UP and SHOWED OUT! You guys have been jokingly ‘dragging’ me for years about these wigs, so we thought we’d have a little fun by hosting a few Wig Screenings for ‘Never Let Go,’” she wrote as the caption.

The curly wig Berry sported in 2013's “The Call” was brought out of retirement specifically for the event. "This little hairstyle for ‘The Call’ — wanna know how I got this?" she asked the crowd. "I didn't just make this abomination up. I went to the call center and I was doing my research, and the woman that walked me through the call center and explained to me what it was to be a 911 call operator had this hairdo. And so I stole it from her," Berry laughed. "It was on a real person, I promise you."
