Unbelievable: Find Out How Two Officers Who Arrested Freddie Gray Are Clapping Back at Baltimore

The cops somehow made themselves the victims in the story.

Days after one police officer was tried, and acquitted, for his part in the death of Freddie Gray, two other officers facing charges have filed a lawsuit against attorney Marilyn Mosby, claiming that she used their arrests as an attempt of calming the violent riots that gripped Baltimore following Gray’s death.

The two officers, Sgt. Alicia White and Officer William Porter, who are facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, filed the defamation and invasion of privacy suit on May 2.

Porter's first trial resulted in a mistrial and he is scheduled to next appear in court on June 13, while White is not set to appear in court until mid-October.

The two officers claim that Mosby and Baltimore sheriff’s office Major Sam Cogen knew that the statement of charges filed last year, as well as charges filed, “were false” and simply an effort to “quell the riots in Baltimore.”

“These among other statements were made not for the purpose of prosecuting crimes that had allegedly been committed by White and Porter, but rather for purposes of quelling the riots in Baltimore,” the suit alleges.

A spokeswoman for the state’s attorney’s office declined to comment on the suit, citing a gag order. The sheriff’s office declined to comment as well.

Legal experts have weighed in to express doubt that the lawsuit will be successful.
