The Queen Of Fashion, Rihanna, Just Announced She Will Be Co-Hosting The 2018 MET Gala
We have delightful news to tell you: Ms. Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the only person who follows the rules at the Met Gala, will host the famed and elite event in 2018.
Each year, the Met Gala is hosted by celebrities and designers. This seems fine, cool, and normal on its face, but when you consider some of the people that have been tasked with the honor in years past — such as Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady, and Katy Perry hosting the Rei Kawakubo/Commes Des Garcon-themed ball this past year (we're still SMHing) — all too often, nonsensical combinations are chosen to host.
But not this year, folks! And we couldn't be more pleased. For 2018, the Met will host a "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” exhibit, which will be kicked off by the annual party. Donatella Versace and Amal Clooney will host along with Princess RiRi.
As we previously reported, Rihanna was the only one to follow the theme at the 2017 event. It only makes sense that she hosts the whole damn thing!
What do you think a Catholic-themed RiRi Met Ball 'fit would look like? We'll be imagining that very scenario until we see it realized in April 2018.
