Kid Cudi Makes It Clear He And Kanye West Are ‘Not Friends’ Despite New Collaboration

The rapper shared this will be the “last song” he’ll do with Ye.

“Day N Nite” rapper Kid Cudi wants the world to know he and Kanye West are “not friends” despite a new song that boasts their collaboration.

The final tracklist for Pusha T’s upcoming album ‘It’s Almost Dry’ has been released to the public with features from Jay-Z, Lil Uzi Vert, or Don Toliver, and a record called “Rock N Roll” with both Cudi and West on the song.

Ahead of the album’s April 22nd release, the 38-year-old musician made it clear to his fan base how the record was made a year prior when he was on good terms with the ‘Donda’ artist and he only cleared the record due to his friendship with Pusha.

“I did this song a year ago when I was still cool w Kanye,” Cudi wrote in a recent Twitter post.

“I am not cool w that man.  He's not my friend and I only cleared the song for Pusha cuz thats my guy. This is the last song u will hear me on w Kanye.”

The rift in this friendship is not new, as West publicly took to Instagram in a now-deleted post that he removed the labelmate from ‘Donda 2’ due to his friendship with Pete Davidson, who is currently dating Ye’s ex, Kim Kardashian.

This didn’t sit well with Cudi, who clapped back under his comments.

“Too bad I dont wanna be on ur album u f—in dinosaur hahaha,” he responded in the comments section. “Everyone knows ive been the best thing about ur albums since i met u. Ima pray for you brother.”

Cudi took to Twitter to debunk Kanye’s claims, saying the legend “flipped the script” and was simply looking for attention:

Ye clapped back with a post, sharing how he wished his friend “had his back”:

The Yeezy designer followed up with a Captain America-inspired post with Team Kanye vs Team Pete Davidson, placing the ‘Man On The Moon’ artist on Davidson’s team.

Let’s see how this continues to play out.
