DaniLeigh and Daughter Both Test Positive for COVID-19
Miami singer-songwriter DaniLeigh had some startling news on Monday, Jan. 17, when she took to Twitter to reveal she and her baby have both caught COVID-19.
“My baby and I have COVID[.] [W]e’re ok and will be ok,” she tweeted. “Appreciate prayers[.] Stay masked up and inside y’all.”
The 27-year-old follows this harrowing news after closing out 2021 with a string of unfortunate events. First, in December, her mother Vicky Curiel, who was also her manager, announced she would no longer have her daughter on as a client.
“I’ve taken this time to love myself, focus on myself, and reflect on the fact that I’ve been living for others and not myself,” Curiel explained in a post. “Today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life, I come first. You have to love yourself first before you can love anyone else. I didn’t know that. I thank God for this opportunity & I look forward to my new life.”
DaniLeigh shared that she was “looking for an amazing manager” and “praying for guidance.”
Prior to that, DaniLeigh’s public spat with her daughter’s father went viral after she had supported his latest project that came out last November. A fight broke out between the couple on social media, with her child’s father reportedly kicking the “Easy” crooner and their three-month-old daughter out of the house.
