Dr. Dre's Beats Electronics Sues Chinese Company for Counterfeit Products

Audio gear bearing red "b" logo brought in some $135 billion via online sales through a group of websites based in China.

A group of China-based websites have been making billions from a counterfeiting ring selling forged Beats by Dre audio gear, according to a new lawsuit.

The knockoff products are cheaply made, bear the same red "b" logo of Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine's Apple-acquired company and brought in $135 billion in revenue, reports TMZ.

Dre and his team point out that Beats has become quite the reputable product, a favorite among celebrities like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Diddy, among many more, and are suing to take over the domain names and all of the profits.

If the suit is won, this may bring in that last $200 million Dre needs to become hip hop's first billionaire.
