So Sad: Before His Death, Lil Peep Had Big Plans
The music industry is still in shock after Lil Peep was pronounced dead on Nov. 15. At just 21 years old, the Long Island rapper was paving the way for the new sub-genre of “emo rap,” and that was only the beginning. In fact, before his untimely death, Peep revealed his plans to dip into other forms of art besides music.
According to a feature story Peep conducted with Paper Magazine, the rapper was interested in experimenting with fashion and acting. "I want to go deep into fashion, I want to go maybe into acting, there's a lot of stuff I would like to go into," he revealed. "I just want to try more s**t and become more well-rounded when it comes to whatever I'm doing.”
He also briefly explained his interested in film and other creative mediums. “I want to do a lot of different things and dive into different worlds. I feel like I'm a creative and I want to take advantage of that. Sometimes I'll be watching a movie then think to myself that I could do a better job.”
While Lil Peep was unfortunately unable to see his big aspirations come full circle, he was able to get an introduction into the fashion world. The rapper previously walked in runway shows for Balmain and Vlone during SS2018’s Paris Men’s Fashion Week.
As previously reported, he was found unresponsive in his tour bus in Tuscon, Arizona, where he was later pronounced dead. According to the medical examiner, Peep died of an apparent Xanax overdose. Officers also discovered evidence of heavy drug use on his tour bus.
