White Woman Caught On Video Calling Black Women 'Stupid N—er' Says She Would Do It Again
A North Carolina white woman who was caught on video calling two Black women “stupid n—ers” while they ate a restaurant is doubling down on her use of the racial slur.
On July 23, Chanda Stewart and Lakesha Shaw were dining at a Bonefish Grill when a woman named Nancy Goodman approached them to say they were being “too loud.”
The women then engaged in a confrontation that ended with Goodman hurling the racist language at the women.
Stewart posted a video of the incident on Facebook.
In the video, Shaw said she and her friend were "paying for our food just like everyone else."
"Let me show you my money," Shaw told. "It's just as green as yours."
"You're so stupid, n—r," Goodman told the women.
"Do you call your Black friends [that]?" the women ask her.
Goodman began to leave and responded, "They're not like you."
After the video went viral, NBC-affiliate WRAL found Goodman, who said her “tremendous anxiety” forced her to confront the women. Then she was asked if she would have handled the situation any differently.
“Looking back on it now, I wish I would have asked the waiter to ask management if they would just quiet down," she said. "Instead, I went off on them, which I shouldn’t have done. But I had had it. It was out of my control to calm down my anxiety."
When she was pressed about her use of the slur, Goodman appeared to have no regrets.
"I’m not going to say I’m sorry to them because they kept pushing at it," Goodman responded. "I would say it again to them. They are the rudest individuals I have ever seen."
When the reporter asked if Goodman understands why the word is offensive, she sneered, "Yes, I do, that’s why I said it.”

Shaw was stunned when she learned Goodman was ready to use the slur again.
"The fact that you’re willing to say you will repeat that again shows me the hate that you harbor in your heart for the Black African-American race," she said. "I don’t care what color I am. Give me the respect of being a human being, just like everyone else deserves."
“I don’t care how you feel like we should have been acting, if I was standing on the table with three heads in a purple jumpsuit. Nothing justified you coming to my table and call me a stupid n—r,” she added.
Stewart said in her post she’s never been called that word in all of her 43 years of living.
"It’s easy to say what you may do or would have done in this type of situation because I’ve said the same," Stewart wrote. "Although racism is very real it still seems to catch you off guard. It may be a blessing because if we had time to think about it, it may have ended differently."
