Angelina Jolie's Daughter Zahara Joins Mu Pi Chapter of AKA Sorority Inc. at Spelman College
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter, Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, is the newest member of the first historically Black sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Inc.
In a clip that surfaced on the internet late Wednesday night (Nov. 15), Zahara was wearing a Black long-sleeved midi dress, black gloves, and pearls as she introduced herself by saying, “My name is Zahara Marley Jolie. Coming all the way from the Golden State in the city that is full of angels, Los Angeles, California … I am this line’s number seven.” Zahara later flips her hair as cheers rang on the Atlanta school campus.
The 18-year-old, currently a Spelman College sophomore, joined the organization’s Mu Pi Chapter. It was established in 1979, seventy-one years after the sorority’s creation.
Last year, Angelina revealed via an Instagram post that her eldest daughter had chosen to attend Spelman, sharing pictures of the teen during move-in day alongside her sisters Shiloh and Vivienne, who were by her side at the top of the school year.
“Zahara with her Spelman sisters!” the actress captioned a snap of the girls then. “Congratulations to all new students starting this year. A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl.”
