Stacey Dash Continues Being Awkward Reading 'Mean Tweets’
Stacey Dash's on-stage appearance at the 88th Annual Academy Awards left many confused, wondering why she was even there, leaving some to say she was awkward all around. Now, the actress is keeping the awkward tip going by reading a series of mean tweets for her blog.
"So I just walked off stage where I got no applause, no boos, nothing," she prefaced the clip. "People were, I think, awestruck, which was a little disappointing."
Take a look at the post, below:
To give you an idea of what the tweets were like, here are a few she read:
"I was hoping there was a trap door on the stage and @REALStaceyDash would fall through."
"No one likes you."
"@REALStaceyDash you sucked on the Oscars like you do on @foxnews pointless."
"#byeb***h."
Ouch!
Despite the backlash, the Clueless star still managed to find a bright side of the situation: "Here's the thing. I do what I do because I want to do it and because I believe in it," she said. "It has nothing to do with race and I wish you would stop saying that. Everything that I do is because I believe in it, and I believe we are all equal, OK?"
OK. Speaking of the actress's polarizing comments, check out what she had to say about a white actor portraying Michael Jackson in a film in the video, below:
