As 50 Cent suits and boots up for a new season of his hit series “Power,” he’ll also need to do the same for a new lawsuit on his hands filed by Donnetta Derr, the woman whom he punched at a recent concert, TMZ reports. 

According to the site, Derr plans to sue Fif within the next week backed by her legal team for the incident.

While specific charges have not yet been named, she will also reportedly sue the LOX, Fif’s performance partners from that evening, as well as Baltimore Soundstage, where the incident took place. Video footage of the situation shows 50 swinging a fist into the crowded audience as he’s assumingly being pulled by Derr’s arm. Seeing as he invited her on stage afterward to twerk it up for the audience, an unexpected plot twist, the lawsuit comes as a bit of a surprise for some.

TMZ adds, however, that the day after the concert, she went to the hospital and reached out to Anthony Warren Brown, her attorney, on Monday (April 17).

Let’s hope all matters from the case, legal or otherwise, can be settled sooner than later.
