Bre Tiesi and Nick Cannon’s Open Relationship Explained
Reality star Bre Tiesi is redefining love on her own terms regarding her relationship with longtime partner Nick Cannon.
The “Selling Sunset” star, who shares a 2-year-old son, Legendary Love, with Cannon, clarified the nature of their relationship during the Dec. 11 episode of the “Wednesdays Podcast.”
Speaking with host Sophie Habboo, Tiesi said, “I’d like to be very clear, we don't co-parent. We are very much together, and that's why people are confused."
Tiesi explained that her dynamic with the “Wild ’N Out” host has evolved over the years. “We’ve been on and off for years,” she shared. “Basically, he has other partners, and we're just open and happy — that’s our thing. People call it all kinds of s---, but I call it, ‘I do what I want to do.’”
The 33-year-old revealed that she isn’t the jealous type and prefers a relationship that’s anything but traditional. “I don’t want a full, live-in person I’m responsible for,” she explained. “I’m responsible for my child. Honestly — which is so crazy — this is probably the healthiest relationship I’ve ever had. We never fight, there’s no toxicity, no arguments, nothing.”
Tiesi also praised Cannon as a devoted father, calling him the "best dad" who is “so present” in their son’s life. Legendary, she said, is “obsessed” with his father. Despite their hectic schedules, the couple prioritizes family time, with “set nights” for yoga and weekends dedicated to sports. According to Tiesi, Cannon is “very involved.”
Outside of his career, Cannon is often in the spotlight for his personal life as the father of 12 children with multiple women, including twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey.
While some applaud Cannon’s commitment to being an active and supportive parent, others question how he manages such a large family.
