Lady Gaga Asks The Black Community How The 'Non-Racist White Community' Can Help
Over the past week, racial tensions in the U.S. have been flaring since protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, turned violent as white supremacists hit the streets. In light of the disheartening events that have unfolded, many people, including celebrities, have taken to social media seeking a resolution. Lady Gaga is the latest entertainer to use her platform to address the country's current climate.
On Tuesday (Aug. 15), the singer sought advice on Twitter from the Black community as to how "non-racist" white folks can ease the growing racial tensions. Lady Gaga assumingly posed the question with good intention in an effort to educate herself as well as others, but some Twitter users weren't so open to offering words of wisdom.
Some commenters felt the answer to Gaga's question was rather obvious and a slight on her part.
