They Tried It: KFC Unveils Nail Polish That Tastes Like Chicken
Food science can yield some horrifying results. Tomatoes the size of your head, pink chicken nugget "meat" and now this.
KFC is taking it's "Finger Lickin' Good" slogan to an uncomfortable level by introducing two edible nail polishes. The flavors, inspired by the Original and Hot & Spicy chicken flavors, will launch in the chain's Hong Kong stores before — possibly — sweeping the globe.
"To use, consumers simply apply and dry like regular nail polish, and then lick — and again and again," the brand said in a statement. "The recipe for our edible nail polish is unique and was specifically designed to hold the flavor, but to also dry with a glossy coat similar to normal nail polish," says creative director John Koay of Ogilvy & Mather, who helped develop the product. "This campaign is designed to be intriguing and fun to increase excitement around the KFC brand in Hong Kong."

It took no time for users on Twitter to voice their opinions on the newest product from Colonel Sanders.
While this product is most definitely not a joke, it is also not set to be mass-produced any time soon. Only the Hong Kong market will be lucky enough to get a sneak peak at this strange fashion statement.
However, if Hong Kong consumes the polish as much as it consumes the "real" thing, it'll only be a matter of time before it finds its way to the States. If that happens, the possibilities are endless. Taco Bell lipstick, anyone?
