Key Glock’s New Song ‘Proud’ Pay Tributes to Young Dolph
In a brand new song and video titled “Proud,” Key Glock pays homage to his cousin and frequent collaborator Young Dolph just weeks after the Memphis legend was murdered.
The song, which will appear on the upcoming tribute compilation Long Live Dolph, and its visual counterpart, reflects on Glock feeling “really lost” following Dolph’s death.
“I got Dolph lookin’ down on me, I know that n**** proud,” Glock raps in the new song. In the video, he can be seen rapping a performance scene in front of a Young Dolph mural constructed in Memphis. There are also cutaways of Glock and Dolph talking, as well as a drive-by shot of Makeda’s Homemade Butter Cookies, the location where Dolph was prior to being shot and killed by two masked assailants.
Long Live Dolph is slated for release on Friday (Jan. 21) via Paper Route Empire. Glock will be joined on the project by fellow label artists Snupe Bandz and Kenny Muney, among others.
