Game Hits The Bullseye With 'R.E.D.'

It’s been three years since Game released LAX and it appears that fans have been patiently waiting the whole time.

While he just released his latest recording, The R.E.D. Album last week on August 23, he’s surely celebrating this week as Billboard reports that the rapper has taken over the #1 spot from Kanye West and Jay-Z. The magazine estimates he sold about 98,000 units in its first week of release.

Pushing Watch the Throne to number two, Game’s album features production by Cali mentor Dr. Dre and legendary New York producer DJ Premier. Guest rappers include Atlanta’s Young Jeezy and Big Boi, Drake and Rick Ross.

AllHipHop.com reports the 31-year-old rapper as saying, "My fans are incredibly loyal. I was able to step away from music for some much needed personal time with my family.  And now that I've returned with a new album, they've come out strong to support me.  I wouldn't be where I am today without my fans. Period."

This is Game’s third #1 album.
