Congratulations are in order for Cee Lo Green. The Grammy-winning singer revealed he is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Shani James. What's more, he popped the question last year and managed to keep it a secret for this long.
Cee Lo finally broke the news to People while filming a music video for his song "Work," from his new album, Heart Blanche. "Truth be told, it's not something we wanted to promote," said the singer. "We're a collective power together because our private life is sacred. But you know what though, maybe it's time. Maybe it is time for the world to know that I have a very secure situation and a loving woman supporting me the entire way." 
The former Voice judge, who was previously married to Christina Johnson, says he has found a "very genuine and honest" partner in James. "I appreciate her openness and willingness to love unconditionally," he said. "She's been so sweet to me through a number of different trials that come to test the resilience of a union to deem whether it's worthy or not, whether it's durable or strong enough." 
Among the things that may have tested their resilience is the accusation that Green drugged and raped a woman in his hotel room in 2012. Though Green was cleared of the charges last year, he couldn't help but address them on social media, making some controversial comments about the nature of rape that had many of his fans up in arms. He has since apologized for his tweets, and it seems James has forgiven him, too.
