Zendaya Shares ‘Euphoria’ Season 2 Trailer
HBO’s Euphoria Season 2 trailer has arrived.
Zendaya, who stars in the series as Rue Bennett, shared the trailer on Tuesday (Nov. 23) and dropped the premiere date, Jan. 9, 2022, to her fans as well.
The 1-minute and 23-second trailer shows Rue cranking up her free spirited personality as she dances and sings to Frank Sinatra’s “Call Me Irresponsible.” Rue’s sister, played by Storm Reid, is also seen asking her older sister, “Are you high?” to which Rue sarcastically responds, “I mean…”
It’s unclear what this season will center but predictions include following the post breakup and fallout between Rue and Hunter Schafer’s character (Jules Vaughn) that took place after Rue’s drug relapse.
"When you're younger, everything feels so permanent," Zendaya’s Rue is heard in the trailer. "But as you get older, you begin to realize nothing is and everyone you love could drift away."
Fans have been eagerly waiting for Season 2 of Euphoria to return after the Season 1 finale aired in August 2019. To keep viewers on the edge of their seats, two “bridge” episodes have aired in Nov. 2020 and Jan. 2021.
Zendaya’s work in Euphoria was awarded with one of the highest honors during the 2020 Emmys. The 24-year-old became the youngest person to win the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series for the HBO series.
