'Tyler Perry's Sistas': Courtroom Drama and Tangled Relationships Are Plentiful
We start the episode with silly arse Maurice at the prosecutor’s office trying to convince him that he planned the heist with Q. This is his sad attempt at getting Sabrina off, and he says he’s willing to testify. The prosecutor asks him to recant the story and it’s just as ridiculous as you’d expect for Maurice.
Maurice is still out on bail, but we’ll see where the rest goes because he’s facing 15 years in jail if convicted. The prosecutor offers to cut a deal with him if he gives up Sabrina. Maurice declines and emphasizes that Sabrina is innocent but the prosecutor just has it out for her. The prosecutor asks Maurice to come back the next day.
Mmkay.
The good news for Sabrina is that Calvin is competent and in her corner.
Later on, we find Fatima meeting up with Andi. They need to chat because this is fresh from that blow-up at Karen’s house. Andi is upset with Fatima, even though her girl Karen is the one who tried it, but expresses that she can’t fire Fatima for what happened off the clock. Fatima takes responsibility for her actions anyway and tells Karen that she and Zac straightened things out between them. Andi then confides in Fatima that she’s on a dating site and actively trying to move on from Gary. Good for her…if she’s serious.
But then we find out that Fatima recognizes some of the men Andi matched with, and many of them are up to some shenanigans: one dated Fatima and her friend at the same time. Andi doesn’t know how to pick them, but that’s a surprise to no one.
We wind the episode down with Sabrina and Dani having some girl talk. They’re concerned about Karen and Sabrina suggests they go to her place before work. We’ll see if she jumps back into the right mind next week.
