Can You Guess the Rapper Inside This Met Gala Costume?
Usually it's the ladies who get all the attention on the red carpet at the Met Gala, also known as the Fashion Oscars, but this year, all eyes are on a man. An A-list recording artist took the theme of "Manus x Machina," or man and machine, very, very seriously in a suit that looks like a mashup of RoboCop and Zorro.
So, who is this visored crusader who reportedly has an actual robot wired into his tuxedo?
It's music mogul-turned-tech entrepreneur will.I.am. The Black Eyed Peas frontman is all about fashion, technology and eyewear, so this outfit definitely brings together three of his major passions.
According to Wired, Will's outfit was equipped with a wearable tech gadget he's behind: AneedA, a “device-agnostic virtual assistant” that can be embedded into any device, giving its user news updates and useful intel such as flight information, the ability to set and cancel appointments and an unlimited music streaming service. In the case of the Met Gala, it was sewn into the rapper's shawl collar.
So, are you feeling this bold get up or nah?
