[Watch] People Are Freaking Out Over This Woman's Pregnancy Workouts
Physical trainer Emily 'Breeze' Ross Watson is showing us what a pregnant woman is truly capable of in the gym. Watson, who is 38 weeks, pregnant has taken to Instagram to post incredible videos of her crossfit exercise.
While some of her posts have caused a bit of controversy, Watson maintains that her baby is fully healthy, and that her fitness routine has had no negative impact on her unborn son. She posted, "Fitness and staying on your grind is the easiest thing in the world to have an OPINION about. But the hardest thing in the world to DO."
Watson spoke with the Today Show about her commitment to fitness, and the criticism she had received as a result. "[Working out is] all I do; it's pretty much my life," she said. "It's all I know, it's what I believe in, and I want to have a healthy, fit pregnancy."
She added that she is baffled by the fact that many accuse her of valuing her own health over the health of her child, and said that she has followed her doctor's advice throughout her pregnancy when it comes to her fitness regimen. She added that working out for all pregnant women is fine as long as they stay hydrated, avoid heat, and not exercise their backs after the first trimester.
Emily doesn't plan on taking it easy after her son is born, either. Just weeks after her due date, Emily plans to set a Guinness world record for the biggest circuit training class of all time.
Just your standard postpartum routine.
