La La Anthony Talks Wardrobe Malfunctions and Post-Summer Hygiene Must-Have
La La Anthony is keeping it real on how fashion can sometimes be a dud.
While attending the star-studded PrettyLittleThing x Naomi Campbell fashion show in New York City, the actor told PEOPLE that she “always” feels like a wardrobe malfunction is looming.
That night on the red carpet was no exception, and every bit of “hectic and crazy.”
“I’m on the verge of one tonight,” she told the outlet while adjusting her dress. “I keep pulling this thing down because if this flips up, it’s a different type of show,” she quipped.
Although mishaps always tend to occur at inopportune moments, the BMF star assured she’s down to risk it all “every time.”
While she is back in the city that never sleeps, the star is enjoying all the thrills of New York Fashion Week.
“I always have fun. I’m from New York, so being here — all the energy that New York brings — it’s always a fun time,” she told the outlet.
The record-high temperatures this summer, Anthony said, calls for a no-frills approach to prevent sweaty armpits and unwanted odor. “It’s hot as f---. Lots of deodorant."
Last month, she partnered with Now and Later candy brand for their 'Pause Now, Hustle Later' campaign, to spotlight emerging Black businesses. The campaign also awarded five wellness brands $10,000 to help jumpstart their business.
Anthony said this venture spoke to her on a personal level. "I know how hard it is [to] launch brands [and] get brands off the ground. It's all about getting the word out there [by] supporting each other [and] showing up for each other,” she told BET. This is a way we can do that and get these conversations started.
