Meagan Good Wants You to Know She Didn't Sleep With These Three Men
Meagan Good wants to set the record straight about her sex life. The actress, who famously took a vow of celibacy when she met her now-husband DeVon Franklin, has been linked to a number of A-list men before she decided to abstain, but says a lot of the rumors just aren't true.
“I haven’t been with Lil Wayne, I haven’t been with Jamie Foxx, I haven’t been with Nick Cannon," she tells The Breakfast Club about a recent New York Post story claiming she slept with those men. "It’s really disappointing! Why would someone print something in a story that I never said and are not true and state it like it’s a fact?” The Post article also mentioned she hooked up with 50 Cent, but Good didn't include the rapper in the list of men she hasn't been with. Oversight, or deliberate omission?
She went on to point out other inaccuracies from the article. “Wherever they got their information from, the point is the woman actually interviewed with me — and a lot of things that she said [in the article] were not things that I said," she claims. "I never said I gave up sex after an ex-boyfriend cheated on me. That had nothing to do with why I gave up sex.”
Good actually does talk about the reason she became celibate in a separate interview with CBS, while promoting her new book The Wait: A Powerful Practice for Finding the Love of Your Life and the Life You Love. “It was in that prayer time that I came to the conclusion that I needed to be celibate; I needed to do something different than what I had been doing all the years before,” she said. “I decided this is what I need to do for me, because I need to heal and I need to focus on myself, and I need to advance myself in every area of my life without the distraction of feeling that I need this man.”
