'Sistas': Daddy Drama, False Confessions & Unwanted Proposals

In this week's episode, the paternity of Karen's baby remains in doubt, Maurice stands falsely accused, and Sabrina faces an unexpected ultimatum from Bayo.

The last time we saw Sistas, we found out that Zac is the father of Karen’s baby. We also watched Karen shoot Fatima. However, as you probably predicted, Karen didn’t really shoot Fatima. It was a daydream. In reality, Andi and Zac keep Karen and Fatima from getting into it. Once Karen and Andi get to be alone, Karen is on her BS again and demands that Andi choose between her and Fatima. Then Pam and Aaron show up to check on Karen and as you’d expect, she continues her reign of insufferableness.

Aaron tells Andi that maybe it’s the hormones and then says he’s the baby’s father because he saw the results. Karen didn’t show him the results, but he saw them because he has a hookup at the hospital and won’t drop any names because that’s illegal. Now Andi and the rest of us are confused because is Karen lying about paternity? Didn’t Zac see the paperwork with his name on it?

Twists, Turns, and a Shocking Finale: Chaos Unfolds in ‘Tyler Perry's Sistas’

Next, we’re back to Sabrina and Maurice’s legal troubles. Maurice confessed to a robbery they didn’t commit to protect Sabrina since he dragged them into the mess in the first place. The detective doesn’t believe Maurice and seems to think Sabrina is the mastermind and that they need more solid evidence. Maurice gets to go home for now.

Let’s fast forward a bit. Fatima tells Andi she needs to talk some sense into Karen. That’s not going to happen, but anyway, Fatima drops an interesting bomb. She shows Andi the paternity papers that say that Aaron is not the father, but it also doesn’t say that Zac is the father because Karen didn’t have his DNA. Then, Andi reveals what Aaron told her about him being the father.

What?

The episode winds down with Bayo stopping by Sabrina’s place. It finally emerges that he doesn’t like Maurice because Maurice is gay, as we all suspected. As a result, Sabrina tells Bayo she will no longer accept his “help” in the form of financial payments for lawyers, bail, etc. That’s when he says he expects a return on his investment. You know what return means, right? He wants Sabrina to be one of his wives. Bayo explains that in his country, giving Sabrina the money to bail Maurice out was like a contract and that by accepting the money, Sabrina agreed with the contract, so now it’s time to ante up. Ok, first of all, they’re not in his country. Also, a person has to know they’re entering into a contract for it to be valid, so he tried it. But hold that thought until next week because we know Sabrina ain’t having it.
