Here's Why Snoop Dogg's Son Says He Was Afraid of His Own Father 'For Years'
Snoop Dogg has accomplished many incredible feats during his impressive career over the past two decades. On top of his lengthy music discography, the Long Beach native also has a generous handful of acting credits under his belt, with one starring role in particular freaking out his son, Cordell.
During a recent interview with HipHopDX, the Doggfather's 19-year-old son waxed nostalgic on how his father's character in the 2001 film Bones was too much for him.
"Man, I was three years old [when that film dropped]," Cordell recalls. "I was so scared of that movie."
He then went on to admit that Snoop's character, Jimmy Bones, resulted in him being afraid of his father for years after first seeing the film as a kid.
"I had nightmares for like months straight," Snoop's second eldest admits. "I didn’t like my dad after that movie because I thought that’s how he was [in real life]. I just didn’t like it all. I was scared of him for like three years.”
Cordell then went on to add with a laugh that he's still "traumatized from this day on," specifically referencing a scene where Snoop was looking for revenge against those who murdered him in the film.
Especially considering how young Cordell was when he first saw the film, we don't blame him for being (adorably) afraid of his father because of his involvement in Bones.
