Joey Bada$ Will Play Inspectah Deck in 'Wu-Tang: An American Saga' Hulu Series
Joey Bada$ is padding his acting resume.
The Brooklyn native recently starred in BET’s Boomerang series, a remake of Eddie Murphy’s iconic 1992 film of the same name. Now, he can add this Black icon to his body of work.
On Wednesday (June 6), Joey stopped by Angie Martinez’s radio talk show on Power 105.1 to talk about his debut as part of the music collective, Beast Coast, and what else he had in the works.
While there, he revealed that he will be starring in an upcoming Wu-Tang Clan scripted mini series, titled Wu-Tang: An American Saga, as fellow Brooklynite Inspectah Deck. He has also previously acted in USA Network’s break out hit, Mr. Robot.
“Me and Dave East is in Wu-Tang. I’m Inspectah Deck” he shared. He also confirmed that Dave East will be playing Method Man.
He had nothing but positive words to say about the enterprise.
“It’s pretty on point from what I’ve seen just from the scenes that I’ve been apart of,” he said. “I like what they’re doing. I like how they’re doing it.”
The series, which is being executively-produced by RZA and Method Man, is slated to drop on Hulu by the end of the year. The rapper elaborated that the streaming service is paying close attention to every detail to deliver the quality that fans are expecting.
We are definitely excited to see how the whole project comes together. Who are you hoping to see star in the series?
