A Hip-Hop Legend Surprisingly Comes to Lil Uzi's Defense
Ab-Soul made news recently when he went after Lil Uzi Vert and other “Lil” rappers for their supposed disrespect of '90s boom bap hip-hop.
It’s a sentiment DJ Premier would support, right? Nah. Actually he’s on Lil Uzi’s side. Apparently the two representatives of their hip-hop generations spoke and had a good conversation, according to Premo.
“Shout to the LiL Homie @LILUZIVERT for reachin' out to me directly... dope things were said and I respect that,” he tweeted. “We all good... Salute.”
Originally Soulo said, “We don’t pass on PRIMO beats in this sport, kids!” Some hip-hop heads praised the Top Dawg rapper for his comments, while some say it’s a different time and he’s allowed to do what he wants.
