People Are Hyped For The #BlackGirlMagic US Open Final Between Sloane Stephens And Madison Keys

Who's taking the title tomorrow?

History made. Sloane Stephens edging out Venus Williams and Madison Keys blasting CoCo Vandeweghe in their respective US Open semifinal matchups yesterday paved the way for the first Grand Slam final between two Black women since the Williams sisters.

And people are beyond hyped up for the #BlackGirlMagic US Open championship match tomorrow afternoon in Flushing, New York.

Check out some of these priceless reactions.

  • To put this #BlackGirlMagic Open Final into further perspective...

  • Now, there was a time that the biracial Keys refused to identify herself as black, but that isn't stopping people from claiming her anyway

Yes, in a January 2015 New York Times article, Keys, now 22, said, "I don’t really identify myself as white or African-American. I’m just me. I’m Madison.” However, as one Twitter user pointed out, that doesn't negate what she is.

  • On the other side of the court, Stephens has come a long way from earlier this year

True, indeed. Stephens had foot surgery to repair a stress fracture in January and lost in straight sets in first-round action at Wimbledon earlier this summer. And now she's in the US Open Final! If that's not #BlackGirlMagic, we don't know what is.

  • This 2017 Tennis season began with Serena and venus in the australian open and will end with Sloane and Madison in the US Open

    How dope is that?

  • People are cheering for both to do their thing tomorrow

But who's taking tennis's final Grand Slam tournament of the year?
