Christina Aguilera's Whitney Houston Tribute At The AMAs Had Us In Our Feelings

She absolutely killed it.

Viola Davis introduced Christina Aguilera earlier this evening (November 19) at the 2017 American Music Awards for the singer to pay tribute to another legendary vocalist.

  • In honor of the 25th anniversary of The Bodyguard, Christina trotted out a riveting performance of Whitney Houston’s medley “I Will Always Love You,” which was perhaps the peak of the night. She also sang renditions of “I Have Nothing,” “I’m Every Woman” and “Run to You” as well.

  • Houston received 22 American Music Awards throughout her career before she passed away in 2012.

Initially, some fans were skeptical Christina could pull it off, not because she isn’t great, but because the feat she was taking on was both difficult and sacred. No worries though tonight.

See Aguilera's performance above and reaction to it below.
