Janet Jackson Nominated for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
This year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees have been announced and it includes one familiar face that has been making a return to the music scene.
Janet Jackson joins N.W.A, Nine Inch Nails, Chaka Khan and many more. The names listed will have a chance to be in the class of 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction.
Excited by the nominations, Ice Cube shared, "I am humbled by the nomination and recognition of NWA's contribution to music and culture by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It has been an incredible year for us as a group, for our loyal fans and in helping us to all keep Eazy-E's memory alive."
Jackson recently released her latest album, Unbreakable, to rave reviews and launched an accompanying world tour to go along with it. This is her first time being nominated, but others like Chic have been nominated before.
The 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will be announced in December and inducted in April 2016 at a ceremony in New York City.
