YFN Lucci Responds After Reginae Carter Says She Won’t Date Another Rapper
YFN Lucci is sharing his thoughts after Reginae Carter declared that their former relationship turned her off from ever dating another rapper again.
While speaking to Love & Hip Hop star Shekinah during a recent Instagram Live session, she opened up about her split from Lucci.
“I don't care how old I get or how young I am, I will never allow no man to post a girl shaking they [sic] ass. I don’t care if she shaking it to your music. It's a respect thing,” she explained to Shekinah. “Maybe that’s not my crowd but I would never be cool with no man going to no party with no naked girls shoving cucumbers anywhere. I would never be cool with no man commenting under a female's picture that’s naked.”
She continued, “I would never date another rapper. I already learned my lesson.”
Footage has since emerged from a recent Instagram Live session YFN Lucci did with Fly Guy DC. In the clip, Lucci confessed that he doesn’t regret attending the “Cucumber Party” despite the ramifications it had on his relationship with Reginae.
“I’m me, bro. If you ain’t gon’ like me, I ain’t trying to change to make you f**k with me. That’s how I [am],” he said. Fly Guy DC then asked Lucci if the 8-year age gap might’ve played a role in their split. Lucci acknowledged it could’ve been a factor but noted that “everybody ain’t the same” and it just comes down to the individual person.
Soon after, The Shade Room reposted Reginae’s remarks to their social page and the rapper slid into the comments to offer his perspective. “If yo’ girl not supporting [you], how can [you] if yo’ man repost who is they [sic] helping me get money...smell me,” Lucci posed.

In an exclusive interview with BET.com, Reginae gave us a glimpse into what she’s been up to while quarantining. Unsurprisingly, the 21-year-old is keeping herself busy and focusing on acting. “I have been practicing while entertaining myself and others because people love it so much, she shared. “I get a lot of requests to do more in my DMs because it makes them laugh and I like to make people happy.”
