Another Of R. Kelly's Alleged Victims Claims He Threatened To Expose Her Sex Life Over 'Surviving R. Kelly'
Every time R. Kelly has attempted to stop one of his alleged victims from speaking out against him, they find a bigger way to ensure that they are no longer silenced. Not too long ago, Lisa Van Allen, one of his survivors, sat with Jada Pinkett Smith on her incredible show, Red Table Talk, and tearfully revealed that Robert has threatened to kill her for speaking out against him.
This past Monday (Jan. 14), a press conference was held by Faith Rodgers, a fellow survivor of Robert’s, along with her attorneys, Gloria Allred and Lydia Agu. Rodgers began dating Robert at age 19. Prior to Surviving Lies being shut down, the Facebook page launched to directly attack the women from Surviving R. Kelly posted explicit photos of Rodgers. The disgraced crooner also issued a notarized letter to her admitting that he intended to reveal details about the now 21-year-old’s sex life, including evidence from texts and witness statements from other sexual partners of hers.
Rodgers is standing strong despite his intimidation and retaliation tactics.
Last May, she sued Robert for knowingly giving her an STD, as well as sexual battery and false imprisonment. The STD investigation was closed, but Rodgers is hoping for a better outcome withthe NYPD, since this is where she was allegedly first sexually battered. Robert’s lawyers claimed that letter was a fake because he “can’t read, write or type.”
Either way, Rodgers and the other two victims being represented by Allred are not backing down.
