Wesley Snipes was released from prison just a few weeks ago, and he's wasting no time getting his career back on track. The action star, who was imprisoned for tax evasion, has landed a role in The Expendables 3.

Producer Sylvester Stallone confirmed the news via a tweet, which he later deleted, but the studio has yet to make an official announcements. Insiders, however, feel confident it's pretty much a done deal. 
The casting news comes with speculation that Stallone may bow out of the franchise after the third installment, and is looking for younger blood to carry it forward. Dwayne Johnson is also rumored to be in consideration to join. 
Expendables 3 is slated to begin production this fall and ready for a summer 2014 release, so Snipes' involvement should be confirmed by studio bosses very soon.
