As the 30-year-old is well on his way to earning the title of one of the music industry's hardest working musicians, he is finally starting to get the recognition he deserves, taking home the Centric Certified Award at the 2016 Soul Train Awards. 

.Paak, known for his eccentric genre-bending style, surprised everyone by bringing out BJ The Chicago Kid during his debut Soul Train Awards performance and the two absolutely had the whole room rocking. 

Judging from countless tweets alone reacting to their unique collaboration, not only is there room for rising artists to make their mark, but we're more than here to watch and celebrate the journey alongside them.
