M-Bone's Family and Fans Pay Their Respects
Family, friends and fans paid their final respects to rising hip hop star Mante "M-Bone" Talbert on Friday.The funeral, which was open to the public, took place at Faithful Central Bible Church in his hometown of Inglewood, California. More than 2,000 attended the service including his grandmother, uncle and three remaining members of Talbert's group Cali Swag District.
"I never knew anybody's body can move that way before I met M-Bone," CSD member Yung said to the crowd while crying. "Since the sixth grade, me and him been dancing together, but I never got to tell him this: He taught me a lot."
Talbert, known for dancing and reviving the 1980s Dougie in the group's hit "Teach Me How to Dougie," was killed in a drive-by shooting in Inglewood on May 15 and was found seated in a car's driver seat with two gunshot wounds to the head. Police have yet to make an arrest or name any suspects in the case.
