Conspirators Falsely Blame the Media and Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch for the Virginia Shooting
On Wednesday, a 66-year-old Illinois man opened fire at a congressional baseball practice Wednesday, injuring Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, the House of Representatives' majority whip. Although details of the shooting are still coming out, many have falsely speculated and spread rumors of about the suspect and his motive.
James T. Hodgkinson allegedly began shooting at a field in Alexandria, Virginia, where over a dozen GOP lawmakers were present with with staff, reported NBC News.
The Capitol Police, who were present, engaged in a gunfight with Hodgkinson and he was announced dead by President Trump.

On Twitter, several people have suggested the media is in some way responsible for the shooting
Additionally, some conservatives have lied and claimed former Attorney General Loretta Lynch called for 'blood in the streets'
Several people on Twitter have taken Lynch out of context and suggested that she called for an uprising in violence to resist Trump. This claim is false and dangerous as it perpetuates the growing division between the left and right.
