Chaos Unfolds in 'The Oval' as Secrets Unravel and Alliances Fray
Last week’s 100th episode of The Oval ended with Jason threatening his mom. He made it clear that he’d take everyone down if necessary. This week picks up with Victoria shook af. She visits Allen’s office looking for Donald, who happens to be available, and he’s probably fresh off killing that cop who tried to help Lilly. Anyway, Victoria explains what happened with Jason. Of course, they call their lap dog, Kyle, and ask him to get on the job. The mission is to find Jason, but the problem is, Sam is already the leader of that mission, so if Kyle goes poking around, it’s going to be hard for him to get any info.
Speaking of Sam, Hunter summons him to his quarters to humiliate him. He demands to know if it was him sleeping with his wife the other day, and makes a show of forcing him to wear a blanket over his head since the VP ran out of the room like that after he got caught with Victoria. It obviously wasn’t Sam, and while Hunter doesn’t know who it is yet, it seems like he believes that it wasn’t Sam upon dismissing him, but now he’s back at square one.
Sam runs to Richard to tell him that Hunter is nuts, something Richard already knows. Why none of these people have quit yet is the wildest part of all of this. Sam confides in Richard that he has detained a Raku soldier but that his spies inside the cult still haven’t seen Barry.
Next, we’re back with Victoria and Donald. She asks if he has made any progress in the hunt for Jason. It’s clear here that they don’t trust each other. At one point, Allen walks into the room and Victoria taunts him about Ellie’s death, asking him why he didn’t go to the funeral and if he misses her. Donald is annoyed by this and sends Allen away to call Victoria a bully. This is a pot meeting a kettle kind of situation. Victoria plays coy, though.
Victoria’s little stunt pisses Allen off, so he calls the FBI agents who are working with Simone to let them know that he’s in as long as they promise to keep him safe. Allen tells the agents to connect with Dale to get the box at his apartment that contains all the information they need. But was it smart for him to call them from his cell phone?
Anyway, let’s fast-forward to the end of the episode. We find Sam looking at some surveillance footage, and then he spots Jason. Donald walks in as soon as that happens and demands the information from Sam. But we all know Sam isn’t about to back down.
Until next week.
