Drake Announces Shoe Deal With Michael Jordan
Well, that was fast.
It looks like Nike has happily moved on after Kanye West announced last week that he had severed ties with the brand.
At his concert in Portland on Tuesday night, Drake confirmed his new partnership with Nike and Michael Jordan, telling the crowd, "Today I came to Portland, and I officially became inducted into the Team Jordan family.” It was a fitting venue, as the city is home to Nike headquarters.
He later posted a first look from his OVO Air Jordan collection to his Instagram page, which included the Stingray 10s, a classic high-top styled in either all-black or crisp white with gold Jumpman accents and OVO logo on the sole. There’s no word yet on when his collaboration hits stores.
Drake's foray into the sneaker world comes just one day after Adidas confirmed a new deal with Yeezy.
