Columbus Short has had his fair share of run-ins with the law, but he's maintained a pretty low profile until now. TMZ reports that the former Scandal star was arrested on Tuesday night during his album-release party.

Apparently the actor failed to appear in one of his domestic violence cases and the judge issued a bench warrant for his arrest. Just as he was about to do a sound check in a club at Universal Studios City Walk in L.A., he was picked up.

Things got a bit dramatic when bounty hunters and sheriffs showed up at the scene to arrest him. The video, obtained by TMZ, shows Short going back and forth with one of the bounty hunters, saying they freaked him out and he was scared for his life.

As for why the bounty hunters were there, they reportedly will get a cut of his $500,000 bail and believed that the actor would flee the Los Angeles county area.
